A number of programs are run in Tasmania, including our Living With Memory Loss, Art Therapy program and Community Information Sessions.
Living with Memory Loss program
The Living with Memory Loss program is designed for people living with early stage dementia and their support person (family members or friends). The program incorporates four education, information and support workshops once per week for four weeks, followed on by ongoing support group meetings. Participants will have an opportunity to:
- Obtain information and have questions answered;
- Talk confidentially with others in a similar situation;
- Discuss experiences and express feelings in a safe environment;
- Focus on maintaining and enhancing skills and abilities; and
- Explore ways of managing now and into the future.
This program is intended for people living with early stage dementia and their support person (family or friends).
